WHO I USED TO BE…
Back at school I used to be that extremely shy girl full of insecurities. The one that would sit at the back of the class and only had one or two very carefully selected friends.
I used to be pretty lazy and had no idea about exercise. I would go to the gym sometimes, use machines and do exercises randomly, without really knowing what I was doing or why. Back then I had no idea about nutrition either, and I would eat like most people still do today – eat what I was being told to eat and what others ate.
I didn’t know who I really was or who I wanted to be, and I wasn’t happy or comfortable in my own skin. I was just drifting through life, feeling pretty lost.
My interest in exercising and fitness started as an adult. First I started taking regular dancing and acting lessons. I also did some modelling here and there, but never liked it as I didn’t enjoy the shallow environment that came with it and being on the spotlight in that way. Then acting, which had been one of main passions since childhood, came along, and I got to perform on stage in several shows in London. Yet for the same reasons mentioned above I got to the conclusion that this wasn’t where I really wanted to be either.
And then fitness really got into my life. I realized how I wanted to feel and how I wanted to look, and so I visualized my goals. I still didn’t know what I wanted to achieve in the full picture, but I wasn’t drifting so much anymore. Now I was taking more control of my life, and I had a set of goals in my mind. So I enlisted the help of a Personal Trainer to help me achieve them. I went for it and… I made it. I found this experience so motivating that decided to become a Personal Trainer myself, to be able to motivate and help others achieve their goals too.
